#ThrowbackThursday and Paris

#ThrowbackThursday this week takes me back to a week spent in Paris in February 2018 when I was invited to be a judge at an international mediation competition ran by the ICC. Teams from Universities from around the world gathered in Paris to compete against each other in mock mediations.

Of course I was nervous, I was about to meet some of the best mediators globally who go to the event to judge the future talent of the mediation world. I sat as a judge in several mock mediations and was simply bowled over by the students. The whole competition is in English, which was not the first the language for many, but you would never have known. The ability to conduct mock mediations in English was out of this world. Some had tutors and some had come alone. Some had grants from their universities to participate, some weren’t so fortunate and needed to raise money to participate. All of the students were amazing!

The next generation of ADR professionals are a force to be reckoned with #unlockhorns

Oh and of course Rosie and daddy came with me and had a blast seeing the the sights of Paris 💕
