The prospect of remote mediation seems daunting but I found that it worked better and was much more cost-effective than a mediation with all parties present in one venue. The IT equipment and know how to use it is minimal. There is no travel required, no overnight hotel stays or untouched working lunches, the parties are in their own space, usually at home with their coffee how they like it, and with the ability to take a breather on familiar ground. There is also no prospect of a party bumping into their opponent. I can't fault it.

Sam’s pragmatism and no-nonsense approach quickly took the mediation in the direction of settlement, even with difficult clients present. A focus on the facts and a reasonable outcome for all, mediated by the professionals, without unnecessary heat or emotion, saw the day conclude with a great agreement and opposing sides able to work together, instead of against one-another. In the mediations that I have been involved in when Samantha Lowe has been the mediator, they have never failed because she does not allow them to fail. Samantha puts the hours in to make sure a deal is reached.
