So the blog has been quiet for a wee while (or a long while….) whilst I have been building Concentus and oh yes…. mediating.

I’m now officially a senior mediator and it is safe to say that I could not be happier. Business is going fantastic and I am overwhelmed at the rate it is developing. My blogs have always focussed on my #goingitalone journey, sharing both my personal journey and well as my professional one. In the last few months I have grown on both a personal and professional level by an immeasurable amount. My next series of blogs will tell you about that growth.
 
So what have I been up to whilst I have been quiet on the website? I have been beavering away building my networks, developing the brand #unlockhorns, working on this brand new website you're on { just launched } and most importantly helping parties settle disputes. Mediating is now second nature to me and it is time to look ahead and plan the next steps for Concentus.
 
The testimonials and feedback from each mediation makes me smile from ear to ear. Feedback such as being “one of the best mediators” a party has used and being described as someone who has “a first class legal brain with tons of emotional intelligence” blows my mind. So with that in my mind I have made the big decision to throw myself into Concentus full time and take a break from my consultancy role. This is a huge decision for me and one that is 20 months ahead of my projected timescales in my first business plan, but now feels like the right time to do it. I cannot take the business to the next level, increase my marketing activity and service the work without taking the plunge which in turn means taking the risk. So here goes….. it is scary, risky and fraught with new challenges ahead but I am absolutely ready and could not be more excited. Wish me luck…..!
 
What about Miss Rosie Lowe, I hear you say?  She is my biggest fan and my reason for doing all of this. She is now 2 and has started pre school, three days per week and she loves it. She runs in without saying bye and my heart bursts with pride. She is a little independent soul and happy to go with the flow which means I have been able to do so much more than I could have ever wished for in this short period of time. She has continued to follow me around the country and further afield this year, starting with Paris in January for the ICC mediation competition, Cardiff, London and Manchester. Obviously she doesn’t come to all my mediation locations with me but if Daddy Day Care fancies a jolly whilst I mediate then along they come. There is nothing better than coming out of an emotionally draining mediation, feeling fantastic for achieving a settlement and then having a big squeeze from my favourite little lady. Priceless.
